I had an unpleasant start to my morning today (spilled something on my dry-clean-only suit literally on my way out the door and had to change into a different suit SUPER FAST so I wouldn't miss my train) and the rest of the day was pretty blah, mostly because I didn't have any classes today. Friday is usually the day I'm at elementary school, so the junior high just doesn't schedule classes for me on Fridays.
But it's the semester break now (that's why suit was not optional this morning -- there was a closing ceremony today) and I'm feeling a little more optimistic. I ended up making a bunch of plans but honestly I just would rather stay home until classes start back up next Thursday. But I need to make an effort to go out and do things because I really want to un-hermit myself.
Anyway, the cleaners' said they'll be able to get the stain out without a problem, so silver linings, I guess. It's so weird, though, there are all these things I do on autopilot that used to seem mysterious and Things Real Adults do when I was younger. Like going to the dry cleaners'. That feels like an especially grown-up thing to do for some reason; I'm not sure why.
