furiosity: (inoue offers a kitty)
On Sunday it was two weeks since my second Pfizer so I'm officially vaxmaxed (at least for the next few months); the cases in my city are down to the low double digits again, and the state of emergency is being lifted on Friday.

To celebrate, today, I went out with my neighbour to finally try the local speciality -- I've been avoiding trying it as take-out because I really wanted to experience it properly. It was very delicious, and we got to walk around some very colourful parts of town afterwards and stopped at the station for some earl grey gelato. Of course, we ate in complete silence and always wore masks when talking, maintained social distance and cleaned our hands at every opportunity, etc, but that's just the new normal, I guess. But tonight's outing really helped me start to feel like life will return to the old normal one day in my lifetime.

While riding the elevator up on my way home, I suddenly remembered a girl I knew briefly in university - she went to my university, but for the life of me I don't remember how we met, or even her name, just her face and the way her apartment was full of stuffed animals. She was Wiccan and there was that one time she invited me to her place to do some kind of purifying ritual or something. I don't remember whom or what we were purifying, but it was all very grave and solemn, fancy candles were involved, but it was nice. We lost touch after graduation; I have no idea where she is or what she's doing, but I hope she's doing well.

The kids at school are all really excited about Kei Komuro.

Anyway, I have Nagano Purple grapes; your argument is invalid.
