Hell Fakinaway

I did it, i finished my Yuletide signup, whooo. Whoever I'm matched with may not get the Request of their Dreams but at least it's not 100% blank. This year I've decided not to peek at the sign-up summaries to try and guess what I'll get matched on; I usually end up being wrong and feel a tiny bit disappointed because I'd already started planning for the fandom I'd thought I'd get matched on. LUCKILY this year literally every fandom I offered is stuff I actively WANT to write (before, each year there was at least one offer I made that was more like "well, I don't MIND writing this and there's nothing else, so...").

....Now I'm just trying not to get attached to any of my requests. :P

I cancelled plans with a friend today because after this week, I just really need to be at home in my pjs for the full 2 days, eat mashed potatoes and curry, and play video games. I got 100% achievements in Garden Story and now I'm gonna play Yonder because it sounds chill af and you can collect cats.

Last week of the first semester started today, and I have a million things to do! I am starting an English bulletin board at my junior high from the second semester (which starts next Thursday). It needs a LOT of prep, but hopefully once I have the prep done, I'll just be able to swap things in rather than sweating over layouts/colour schemes/etc.

One of the things I'm adding to it is a Choose Your Own Adventure corner where the kids and I are gonna fanfic the crap out of Japanese folk tales (within reason). The kids will vote on what happens next, and I'll write it in very simple English, and then they'll vote again, etc. I'll need to plan it out in advance, though, since the board will only update monthly, and I want to make sure the 3rd years don't graduate without knowing what happened, so it'll have to be a CYOA in 6 parts.

This year I finally remembered to nominate things for Yuletide, and all of my nominations got approved! I don't know if that means that the fandoms & characters I nominated are all going to be on the list when the requesting/offering starts but I hope so!! \o/

But.... speaking of fanfic... I should go and do that now. Write some, I mean. After just one more Starcraft mission... we swears...👀
